Hello everyone
Was just contacted by a customer who is a friend
He wants me to redo his cabin cushions covers, simple job,
Here is the request, he wants me to use the material he has, ok no problem, I ask him what he has…
Genuine LEATHER
In a car, living room, ok, I love leather, but inside a boat???
The boat is a Hunter 30, located in Canada, high humidity, freezing cold… I am trying to convince him that this might be a bad idea, but that is what he wants.
How would you react to this request???

Make him sign a waiver if you choose to do it. There are leathers that can be used for boat cabins. Whether that is what he has, who knows. Likewise, there are some leathers that shouldn't be used in a boat. Find out exactly what he has, oil tan, vag tan, etc., and go from there
