Hello All,

One of the units in my sectional sofa has a tear on the inside backrest (where you lean) caused by my kid jumping on it. Professional repair quotes are coming in pretty high, so I’m hoping to fix it myself. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any DIY tips or affordable repair options would be greatly appreciated!

It can be resewn, but you will be shrinking it a bit. I recently repaired a blown seam for a client, but the manufacturer did not overlock the edges of the seams and they badly frayed, I had to move in on the fabric but as it was a loose fit cover it looked ok.
