I am reupholstering a customer's Seaswirl boat, I need to remove the side mounted throttle. I have removed the screws in both the center of the throttle handle (fits into the white post), and the black plate behind the handle. I am still getting no movement with the handle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doubtful I can help but is that a small phillips head crew just under the handle at about 9 o'clock? Maybe the handle is attached from the back, or maybe there are screws coming into the whole assembly from the back? Just throwing that out there ....

It was a screw; I have removed it.

I enlarged the pic as much as I could and the center of the handle looks like it may have splines on it like a old car door handle. Is that possible? if so some gentle prying in several areas may loosed it allowing it to slide off.
Just offering a suggestion, may not be on the right track but it's an idea.

I would expect the back plate to be through bolted. Handle usually stays attached in my experience. Then, of course, the throttle and shift cables will need to detached.

Thank you for all of the responses regarding the side mounted throttle. in case someone else has the question later I let you all know what I had to do to get it off.
After removing the outside center screw, I turned the throttle into the 3/4 reverse position. That exposed a hole in the bottom of the throttle base and the Allen screw that held it in place, of course it can only be seen after wedging yourself under the console. Removing the Allen screw allowed me to pull off the throttle lever. With the control lever removed I could remove the 4 screws holding on the back plate and with those removed the back side throttle plate comes off and the sideboard can be removed for upholstery.
