I got A dash to recover , never done one ,
Any advice , can seams be done. I know it needs filler for the cracks , what kind of filler is advised.
Let me hear from our Upholstery people.

You can absolutely upholster a dash pad. The shape will determine where you need to put seams and how complex it will be. I normally grind out the areas that are cracked and fill them with fiberglass reinforced body filler. Then when possible wrap the entire piece with landau foam and sand it all smooth. Dashes are a lot of work to make look nice, but worth the effort because they look great when done. When you put the cover on, don't glue the seams down. Let them "float" and only glue the areas around them and where the material wraps around the back. This gives you some wiggle room to get the seam nice and straight.

Whatever brand you can get from a local parts store will be fine. After you sand it, let it sit in the sun for a couple of days if possible. It will help the resins off gas and cure faster.

Same guy brought me the dash. Next day brings me a seat. He said he had them done about 10 years ago. They just got baggy He said they were fine when he first brought them home.
He just wants me to add foam. Not redoing the seats. I wish he was But the tear down reveals this to me. I don’t have words. (Not good ones to print out)

I refoamed. I hope it goes back together well
