Hi,
First post here. I'm building some door panels for my 63 corvette and want to make a "line" in the panel to make it look like two leather covered panels are butting up against each other like you see in the photo below ( in the green circled area). I only want to use one panel though. Any thoughts on how to achieve this look?

I hope I am understanding your question. Use one panel but two pieces of closed cell foam. The foam will glue to the single panel board.

Thanks. Thinking about it some more, I see two options, not sure if either one of these is how you would do it, but please let me know if it is.

There are multiple ways to achieve this. What I would do is cut a 90 degree V with a razor blade out of the closed cell foam that is a width you like the look of. Then when gluing the fabric down press the fabric in to the V you just cut. It will be a little difficult because the line is curved but if you draw lines to follow you will be able to make a smooth line.

I like to use an radiator hose pick to press the fabric in to the grove.
