I was practicing my different types of stitches. But if you look at the image I could not create a perfect stitch around the square corner. Also could not find a video on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

The best way I do it is. Turn the boxing so it's sticking up and can see the back side. Lay that flat on the table and turn it and sew as you go. If your distance from the edge is equal. When you get to a corner you just keep sewing and keeping your distance. Should just sew around till you’re done. I also trim the corner selvage off, so it doesn't bunch.

So I should stretch it out and stitch with the inside facing up?

Hmm I don’t have a picture to show you. Imagine you take your part and make a bowl so the inside of the bowl is the top side of your material. Leave it this way and sew your perimeter stitch with your machine foot in the inside of the bowl. It’s hard to describe what I mean. A pic would really help

Try trimming the seam allowance in the corner there. That's probably causing the wrinkles.

Post the pictures and also you may get some suggestions on replacing the waterboard with other material.

No over trimming wouldn't cause that. You probably just need to practice a little more.
