I am currently trying to reupholster an ottoman and for the life of me, I can’t get the legs off. I know they were the last things installed the last time since some of the fabrics goes underneath them. Any help is very much appreciated!

Note: I have tried turning clockwise and counterclockwise and I removed the metal cap, but there was no screw to be found.

Can you reach under the wood gusset (triangle piece) and see if you can feel a center bolt? If there is one it may be striped in the leg end which is why it just spins.
