Just picked up a Singer 281-162 machine with table and was wanting opinions on using it for upholstery work.

It will work for basic upholstery work but its not a walking foot so you will have trouble sewing extra thick / multiple layers of foam and fabric. Like on seat covers.

Thanks John for the reply. I picked it up for little money and am working on a lazyboy recliner. I am just getting into upholstery and looking forward to learning more.
