I have always wanted a Morris Chair, and this is close enough for now.

All disassembled for patterning.

Looking for what type of material I should be looking for.
Leather is not an option.
Broad color selection, durability, and value (does not mean cheap).

Currently clueless when it come to furniture upholstery.

Thank you,
Stephen

My great Aunt had two Morris chairs. One of them is sitting in the loft of my Mothers garage. Post up some pic's when it's done.

Are you looking for a vinyl or cloth since leather is out? What’s it like where you live? I hate vinyl furniture in Iowa. Cold in the winter even when the heat is on, and hot in the summer even with the ac. If it was me I’d go cloth. If you’re not redoing the wood, I’d go an earth tone that would match. Lighter color if your house has a lighter scheme or darker if it’s darker.

Since the lawn was too wet to mow today.....................................

This chair will most likely sit in my office and not get high usage - just naps in front of the TV.

I am fairly sure I have landed on Naugahyde Nauga Soft Vinyl. Still open to suggestions.

Good Specs, Nice Colors, Good Value at <$25 a yard, and a newbie like me should be able to handle it.

For the longest time I have wanted one in deep red....... But damn that green has caught my eye.

Thank you - Stephen

@Smooooth I used a lot of nauga soft when I was doing dental chairs. It's easy to work with and wears well. 25 is a decent price. My price at one of my wholesalers is 39 canadian
