I have a customer wanting a few of these fender bras made for their semi. He’s wanting leather, I suggested vinyl. But I don’t work with leather. Not sure what type to get for something that’s in the elements all the time. I attached a pic so you’d have an idea of what I mean.

@cody, that is a vinyl application and here it is called a quilted weatherfront material. The drivers want the craziest %^$#@. I am up to my ass in Alligators in this stuff and it baffles me. Just use a 40oz vinyl (snowmobile vinyl)

I would suggest using vinyl. Leather inst really ment to get wet all the time. But if he really wants leather I would get black automotive grade leather. Nothing fancy. Most suppliers usually have a good deal on black hides.

Thanks guys. I got a heads up on a vinyl material made just for this called boltasoft. The closest supplier is fabricsupply out of Minneapolis. I have to turn my tax number and things into them still to get them to sell me any product. Waiting to hear back from the customer before I order anything though.

@BigRig sorry I have been away since my last post and got some vinyl already. Where did you order this weather front vinyl? I searched for it but came up dry. Got a lot of pre sew diamond vinyls, but all seemed home decor grade.

@Cody, our suppliers in Canda have it but you cannot order like you can in the US. Its a proces to set up and account and get approval etc... I would try www.perfectfit.com

WOW! That's an interesting concept for trucks. I will have to look for it on the highway.
