Chevy Bolt driver's seat cover replacement questions

I'm replacing the bottom seat cover on a 2017 Bolt. If anyone has worked on one of these, can it be replaced with the seat in the car? Does seat back have to be removed first? Looks like the cover has plastic J channel on the edges and hog rings in the middle.

Don't know that car specifically but yes i'd say you'll have to pull it and the back will need to come off as well as any plastic trim. Never seen a seat that could be done in place but i do more boats than cars. The auto trimmers here may have better insight, i have been wrong before.
