Hello knowledgeable folks.
I have a problem attaching headliner fabric ,vinyl, to the steel bows. The old, cloth, fabric was clamped to the ends of the bows. I can't find any information about the clamps used in the original application. I know nothing about upholstery and there are no shops in my area. I have seen hog ring pliers online or bw clip pliers? Help? Thx.

Can you send photos of the area where the edges of the headliner attaches just above the windows? I've not seen headliners attached to the top bows\, but I have never worked on a Hudson. Also include photos of the top bows with out the material attached.

The bow hole above lr door is in a channel
I assume headliner fabric was clamped to the bow end. The extra fabric was tucked into the sawtooth metal tack strip along the sides and glued front and rear.
I have searched online and never found a similar bow set up. In 1957 hudson combined with nash and AMC. None were popular cars at the time, going out of business. I found a pre cut headliner but no hardware or instructions.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I was hoping for some photos taken from right or left shots to see what the area above the windows looks like. Hard to tell anything from the close up shots. Post some shots so we can see what you are dealing with.
Looks like headliners are available here. https://www.newstalgiaparts.com/p/42841 ... -headliner

Looks like there must be an upper windshield trim to cover the front of the headliner. If there is no trim the material must go in under the windshield rubber. The rear around the back glass could also be the same. As for the sides, not quite sure what hides the edges.
You might try the Hudson forums for more info. The headliner suppliers may have the info that you need. It will be about 3 weeks before I go to a custom car show and I know of a couple of Hudsons that I can check out. I know you want answers now, but that is all I can dofor now
