Any of you guys using vinyl (Marine I would assume on floors of cars/trucks).

Just got an inquiry from a guy who wants his seating vinyl laid down on the floor.

I would think it would get trashed pretty quick.

Why? That would look kind of ugly. They are putting vinyl flooring in boats, but it's thick and still requires glue to put it down. It wouldn't work in a vehicle.

Ive only ever seen it done in a show truck. Normal use it will get destroyed.

@BigRig I've seen a fair number of show trucks (big trucks) and I don't believe I've ever seen vinyl on a surface that could be easily stepped on. Is this is a big truck or a pickup?

@SmokinSCustoms ,

it is a Peterbuilt and just does not make a lick of sense so wont be doing it myself. What Cale psoted was really cool though!

Well he can always pay you again to put carpet in after he destroys the vinyl on the floor....

@BigRig I'm with John on this one. I wouldn't turn away work either. "Customer is always right the first time" and when they realize how right they really were, well you'll probably be putting in some carpet.

I do know a lot of guys that drive in their socks though, so ya never know I guess.

@SmokinSCustoms ,

You are SO right with that one. I remember one night listening to my dad tell me how much he loved his job. He was about to hop in the truck and head down the road. He told me he was going to put on his slippers and put in a book. It just made me :relaxed:

I had thought about doing a floor like this in a show car. But, I would never do anything like this in a daily driver. That would be an alternate definition of insanity. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
