Hi all.

A wood slat that runs down the center of my ottoman has come loose from the staples keeping it in place. I've attached a picture that hopefully shows enough of the issue. I have no experience with this, but I imagine that I'll need an upholstery stapler and a certain kind of staple and need to staple in particular locations. I just don't know which or what of each.

Any help is much appreciated.

Those look like furniture staples, not upholstery staples.
Furniture staples are either 7/16” crown or 3/8” crown.
