I just started the course and need to get some welting to practice. I've ordered the 3/16" and 1/4" welting feet that were recommended. What size welting would work with those? Would it be 3/16" and 1/4", or do i need to take the vinyl that wraps the welting into consideration?

3/16 the 1/4 is too big

Cord plus material wrapped around it.

1/8” cord plus vinyl gives ~3/16”

5/32” plus leather gives 5/16”
