I am recovering the seats on a 1947 North American Navion. The previous covers were attached using a thin, flexible wire (about 0.066" dia) under the prongs as shown in the attached photo. The wire is missing from two of the seats. Does anyone know where to find this wire? It is very easy to bend. The listing wires I have are much too large in diameter and too stiff.

which wire are you referring to., the one the seat is hogged ring too? Need more info

Thanks for responding! The wire is the one under the prongs. I believe it is a lead wire, not copper. It can be bent with your hand. I would like to buy a new wire to install the seat cover but I may have to take apart an old seat to get the wire. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Doubtful it would be lead, it would be able to be cut or broken too easily. Might be an annealed steel, annealing makes the metal softer so it can be bent. clean some up with steel wool to see if it is copper, or try a magnet to see if it's steel.
