Which Closed cell foam is best?

I have a sound pad here for the engine bay of a Porsche 911 that I’m trying to replicate. It is diamond stitched some heat resistance vinyl to 3/8 closed cell foam and the foam used is very dense. if you could recommend a foam that would be heat resistant as well as hold it’s shape, i very much appreciate it.
Searching online for a particular foam is quite a task without feeling it. I’ve been suggested neoprene foam, and after my dive on

did you check sailrite they have 1/2 to 1 1/2 inch thick closed cell foam?

You want "acoustic foam" if you intend to absorb sound. A layer of butyl rubber applied to the frame underneath would help too.
