I’m working on a motorcycle seat. I did one already for this lady but my machine did this thing where it just stopped feeding the material through on a decorative stitch. So it bunched 10 stitchs together and looks horrible. So I’m making another. I sent her a pic of what I had on the first one, and she is saying she wants another orange stitch. 3 in total. (Makes sense when you see the pic) I feel 3 is too much, but it’s her seat. Trying to decide if I should just run 3 side by side like the 2 I did, or if anyone has another design idea?

Dang that would have been a good idea but I’m already sewn up past the point of welt.

I agree 2 lines look good. I think 3 would be to much, but it's not my seat.
Maybe sew a sample piece with 3 lines and let her see the difference?

The seat looks awesome man! I would do what Susy said and sew up an example and show the customer. If thats what the customer wants then put the 3rd stitch in.

Thank for the help. I did do a test for her to see. She still chose the 3 stitches. Like I said not my cup of tea, but not my seat. So 3 it is. I finished it up last night. It was my first time with grommets and leather lacing. I just did what I thought worked best. She is happy with the end results. So, so am I.

Looks bad ass man! I love how you backed the grommet holes with the same color as the contrast thread. Great attention to detail man. Love it!

Thanks @John i appreciate it! I actually like motorcycle seats. Challenging, don’t take up a lot of space, and no where near as much time as a car interior.

That seat turned out awesome! I agree with you, I like it better with just two top stitches. Still looks amazing.
