Hello, this is my first post. I’ve recovered seats before but haven’t been professionally trained and need direction from an expert old school trimmer.
I am rebuilding the bucket seats in a 1967 Camaro and 1967 Corvette. I’ve torn down one Camaro seat back and the burlap is coming apart and the small wires in the burlap are broken. The main paper wrapped wires are all in nice shape as are the springs and seat frame.
I sourced burlap with the wires already strung through and am planning to build the seat up like when the car was new. I asked John about this process and it’s not included in his video collection.
I’d like to find a vintage textbook or receive direction on how to match the original method.
Thank you,
Bill
