Replacement Fitting for Upholstered Seat

Hello,
I am refurbishing a plywood chair that has the upholstery done on another plywood. The upholstered part then fits on the seat and the seat back with a plastic fitting that is screwed on the plywood that is on the chair and has ribs that are fit in a hole on the plywood of the upholstered part. I hope I am explaining it properly. I wish I can upload some pics.
Some of the plastic fittings broke when I was taking the seat apart. I am trying to find out what they are called and where I can buy replacement fittings.
Thanks,
ASenna04

I’m having a hard time following. But if you could post some pics I’m sure it would greatly help. While you’re writing a post scroll down a bit and it will say upload and image. Click on that and copy the image. This is for in your phone idk about ona. Computer

The white plastic part is what I am looking for. It is screwed in on the other side and is pushed in the hole in the plywood you see for a push fit.
The size of the plastic is 20mm.

I’ve bought parts like these at auto parts stores, they are used to hold door panels on. They look the same only they have a head which could be cut off.

I think what @Revv Up is referring to, is commonly called a Christmas tree clip. It may work if you get on with the correct size, but I can’t say I’ve seen the part you’ve pictured.

Thank you for your responses. I may have to resort to alternative methods of attaching the plywood with the upholstery to the base, maybe a Velcro. Any other suggestions?

In the car audio world. They seem to use rare earth magnets and have great results. Maybe a few of these in pockets on both pieces?

I don't really understand what you are trying to do, relocate fasteners and try tee nuts?
