My first upholstery project. I couldn't have even started without John's videos. I still have one more to make, cause I have 2 Rottweilers. I hope the second one will be better....but still proud of this one, flawed or not. I had everything aligned pretty well the first time, but in the last phase of assembly....one of the bolster shoulders was off...so I took it apart in the places I had to adjust and end up with this. In my defense...the old bed I used for pattern was pretty ripped up. First time touching a sewing machine in 40 yrs...first ever upholstery project....whew :ok_hand: THANKS JOHN!!!

Thats and awesome dog bed! Looks good, what type of material did you use for the part with the diamonds?

I used automotive velour for the diamond area and automotive vinyl for the rest. I got everything from Albrights Supply...love those folks! I wanted the bed to be durable, my babies are clockin in at 135 lbs each and my girl loves to take a flyin leap into her bed and wallow it...so 29oz vinyl should hold up a lot longer than the cheap Chinese made bed I used for a pattern.

Looks great. I’m sure they’ll love to lay in there.
