I am wondering about the quality of vinyl that has this description, a vinyl facing with a polyester backing. This is the description: I would be using it for upholstering seats. Is there a difference between this and a 100% vinyl material for durability or appearance.

Allante comes pretty close to those specs. I would have to mic a piece to check the thickness. It is one of my favorites. Has a leather feel to it.
