Hi guys been doing a little project and noticed a few times the thread was being cut as was thinking the hook timing was off so I adjusted as brother manual states but now it won’t see at all
I’ve uploaded a few pictures hoping I’ve missed something

So when the needle is at its lowest point the rotary hook should be in the middle of the scarf which it is. Have I got this wrong?
Thanks

The needle thread hole is in the center of the scarf? If so that should be correct according to my machine directions, but I do not have the same machine.

Sorry Lee think I’m going to have to leave it alone today it’s given me a really bad headache trying to sort it out so I’m going to pop it to my local sewing place tomorrow and let them have a good look over the machine

The needle has to rise about 2mm before the hook reaches the scarf and at that point it should be in the middle. The needle must rise to form the loop, at bottom dead center the thread is held tight against the needle, it is the rising that creates the loop for the hook to catch. I don't know the specific spec for that machine but from its lowest position, turn wheel until you get 2mm rise and then set the hook to the needle scarf. Should get you sewing again

Adam is on it, now all you have to do is find out how high the needle needs to raise.

Edit….. this make me think there’s a mark on your needle bar
