Hi guys hoping someone can help I have a brother b755 mk3 and I’ve threaded the machine as instructed and I’ve installed the bobbin as instructed, but when when I go to see with the machine the top thread snaps and sometime wraps itself around the meddle and the thread snaps
It was working prior to me installing new thread but I’ve noticed when I turn the machine over by hand when the needle goes all the way does it catches slightly in the side of the hook in the bobbin

I’m hoping it’s something I’ve done and I can sort out

thread tension, needle size, and bobbin timing. It sounds like the machine needs some TLC before it can sew. This is the machine that we said would not be a good choice for upholstery . . . right?

Hi ted yes that would be correct but I already had the machine so thought I would give it a go and see what happens but something isn’t right
