I am being told this is a collector car so the repair needs to be consistent with the original interior fabrication. I plan to just remove and replace the foam, but not familiar with what foam should be used.

This is on a Shelby Mustang door panel, both door panels. The owner wants to keep it as close to factory as possible. I may just remove the deteriorating foam and re attach it. I found some 1/16" foam but it is a different color than the OEM. 1" is too thick, but after reviewing the photos I provided I can see where the roll of the panel may give the impression of thickness.

OOOHHHH!! Yes at first look i thought the picture was of seat foam. I see it now. That looks like closed cell foam to me on the door panel. I would think the closed cell foam you can get from your supplier would be just fine.
