I have recently acquired a chair frame to be upholstered and I am curious to know what make of chair it is as well as the year of it and if anyone knows where I could find this same chair style upholstered.

Anyone who knows anything, I would be appreciate.

Thanks

WelshTom

I don't know much about antique furniture but I think @Nigel Heffernan . Nigel have you ever seen one of these before?

Looks like a nice chair. Bet it will be nice once its fixed up.

@Welshtom1988, you may have already figured this out.

This was definitely a fully upholstered chair. There are nail holes all over it, and no drilled holes to weave caning or a channel for pre-woven cane.

However, you are missing the back stuffing rail. I circled where the notches are cut.

It should have 2 curved rails, like this. A good woodworker could make you a set.

Be sure to post a pix when finished.
