Hi Guys, doing some square’ish bucket seats and finding my corners/sides not sitting well.
Was going to cut back some of the excess selvage but wondering how close you cut to the seam.
Anything else I should be aware of?
It’s marine vinyl..

I will cut back to about an eighth of an inch. If it is good quality vinyl and you don't use a pulley system to strech it on, it should be fine.

Forgot to mention to use steam (preferrable) or carefully use a heat gun and heat the vinyl up. It will lay down better.
