In What order do you Personally start with the seat bottom or the back to the seat
I usually start with the seat bottom !

I also start with the seat bottom first when setting up my layout and templating. Always made more sense to me to square everything up from the seat frame.

I agree . Sometimes I wonder how others do it. I draw it out on paper lay it out Study it some more !

I do the same thing. After I get my foam work done I will take a picture of the seat. I pull it up on my computer monitor and lay a piece of paper over my screen and trace the general outline of the whole seat. Then I make copies of it so I can quickly draw some different designs on it so the customer can see some different options of how we can do things without me trying to explain it. Always works better when you have something they can actually see, then I can make changes from there so they get exactly what they are looking for. Plus after you have done a few of them they can usually be used again for a different project.
