Hey guys, I'm in need of some help please. I'm working on a project where I need to reupholster an armrest for a Toyota van. However, it seem that the armrest material has been molded with foam when it was in production. I can possibly make a new pattern and cover to sit on top of the existing one, however i'm unsure how to lock it into place so that it doesn't come loose. There are obviously no bar holders or brackets to stick it down with.
Any advice would be grateful.
Thanks

I would glue it with contact cement and then also staple it in the area where the bottom trim panel covers the fabric edge. The plastic will hold staples just fine.
