What is rev tac and is it beneficial to have on a machine?

Sorry John, a fellow who has a machine mentioned that his had it? From all that I've read I didn't see the term either. When I inquired he just stated stop and go anytime during sewing?

What model machine was this? You can stop and go anytime on any machine. Seems strange.
He might be referring to a needle positioner. Those are nice to have but not needed.

He May have referred to automatic reverse tac bar. Some machines do a few forward stitches then automatically reverse to create the tac bar then move forward again. Other than that... who knows

I think he is referring to reverse tac stitch.
