Used Machine

I've recently signed up and have yet to start any of the courses (because of lack of equipment) and was on the hunt for a machine. I think I've found an older industrial Pfaff (with a walking foot from a dealer who is going to service it for me before I purchase it. It already has the servo motor so I'm good in that respect but I was wondering something. At some point in the future I will want to do some repairs on a bimini top for our boat (or depending how good I can get at this sewing thing maybe a colour change?) and Im curious what foot/feet are required when it comes to marine work like this? Just asking because maybe I should ask him at the same time? Any help would be appreciated

Standard feet will take care everything you need on a bimini, nothing special. A binding attachment if you want to bind your edges but not a necessity. Old pfaffs are great, even better when you have support from a dealer. As with any old machine, make sure it has a good timing belt.

For canvas work you'll be fine with the standard feet. If your going to be doing auto and marine seats I would recommend getting 3/16" and 1/4" welt feet. They have more sizes than that but those 2 will work for %90 of things. A zipper foot can be nice to have but I dont use it very often.

Hope this helps!
