How have you guys found the vinyl/plastic paint to last on custom re-doos? Do you find this paint chips or peels at all?

SEM Color Coat is remarkable! You have to make sure you prep everything super well with their cleaner and surface prep spray or you will get fish eyes. You can even use it on carpet. Below is what I use.
Step 1: SEM Soap - https://amzn.to/2I7gzs1
Step 2: SEM Vinyl Prep - https://amzn.to/2rezreY or Plastic/Leather prep for leather and plastic - https://amzn.to/2reA0FC
Step 3: SEM sand free primer - https://amzn.to/2rgFNcR
Step 4 : SEM Color Coat - https://amzn.to/2HKiFKP

Keep this one a secret :zipper_mouth: I have skipped steps 2 and 3 before and just cleaned parts with brake clean. It still works good. That's if your in a rush and its not super important. If you want the stuff to work the best and last the longest. Spend the money and time to do all the steps.

Also here is a good video showing the process.

Wipe with mineral spirits to clean and remove any protectants like Armor All then soap and water let dry wipe down twice with denatured achocal using a clean towel each time.Spray with SEM paint. In the days before SEM paints we used laquer paints over reduced as the reducer would soften the plastic enough to make the paint bite always had a duller finish though.

Thanks for the great info! I never heard about using thinned lacquer paint before. Cool Idea.
