Clips causing dents in upholstered door panel

I have covered a door panel for our 1932 Ford Coupe. It looked good until we inserted the clips . We inserted them through the holes in back of panel board. Any suggestions how to bring these back out?

Yeah that happens because when you press the clips in it concaves the head and causes the dimple. I dont recommend using those types of clips on door panels.
I always use Auveco 808 frog leg clips. They never have this problem.

Thanks, John. For some reason we couldn't use those clips in these particular places on the door panel.

In that case you want to find some clips that are completely flat on the head. Like one of these
