I recently inherited this loveseat/settee from my great grandmother and decided to give it a bit of a facelift. While sanding the woven pieces on the side came off and I was wondering if there are any simple(ish) ways to upholstery the sides?
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I’m doing and have been sanding this guy for over a month. Was going to stain a light, sun bleached color...but since the grooves are impossible I’ve pivoted to a dark walnut color.

They actually make the woven material, the cording and the tool to replace that part. Google cane webbing repair. There are youtube vids on it. I have never done it but it don't look hard to do. If it were me, I would wnat to restor it to how Great grandmother had it. Hope this helps.
