I have been to a few auto upholsterers, looking for a dark glossy black vinyl to make a seat cover. None seem to stock it and the few fabric stores I’ve checked also don’t stock it! Here’s an example (the black seat):

It needs to be commercial grade and relatively high wearing.

Does anyone know what this type of vinyl is called? It has a shiny, latex look.

There should be tons of options for shiny black vinyl at any upholstery supply store. I would check albrights supply. They will send you samples.
