Hello everybody!
Just starting out. I've been lurking around in the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I'm a Computer Programming manager and have next to none sewing experience. I did make a tie in the seven grade long long long time ago.
I bought a new seat frame for my 1936 Ford and got a quote from a shop that did work in the past for me and the price was very high. If I had them do the complete car, I wouldn't be able to afford it. I thought I'm almost retired, so I bought a Consew 206RB5, some practice vinyl and John's video courses. The videos have been great!
So for my first project, I made a round seat, used some foam I had laying around. My wife thinks it looks really good. It took me three attempts, but I'm learning. I'm also enjoying it.
I'm getting ready to do some scaled down practice seats with pleats and diamonds for practice before I attempt sewing the new seat.
Thanks in advance for all the questions I have!
Jerry
