Hey everyone, In John's videos he talks about using chip board for patterns or door panels when not using ABS. It looks almost like poster board, but stiffer. I need some for the back of my new (Jnnkyard) seats for the back panel. Thank you for any info.

Hey Ron!
Here is a link to chip board that I use for patterns https://www.albrightssupply.com/Chipboa ... Click=3957

This is the panel board that is thicker and sometimes used for making door panels. https://www.perfectfit.com/15347/154533 ... stery.html

Thank you John, I am not quite ready to spend over $60 for one sheet of ABS right now, all I need is to make two door panels and maybe a headliner for my 41 Truck.

@RonAlves ,

Go to the hardware store and look for 4x8 sheets of corrugated PVC board. It may be more affordable but the sewing through is questionable.

Another option is PVC that is not corrugated. It has been a couple of years since I bought it locally but a 4x8 sheet of 3mm ( 1/8” )was $22 and worked really well. It is a solid panel. Water proof and can be heated and formed. Holds glue and staples.

I buy mine from a company named Advanced Plastics. I know the have locations in my part of the country but not sure if they are nation wide or not.

Thank you everyone for the help. I am thinking about just buying a sheet of 1/8 wood panel for about $10.00 Since I want to just add some door panels that never had any except the all steel panels that came with the truck in 1941. But I will also look for the plastic sheets here at my Home Depot only 1 mile from my house.

@RonAlves ,

There is a very thin plywood at homedepot you can use.
