I am working towards producing sets of replacement seat covers for the Peugeot 205 GTi. I will , however, need to use an experienced outwork assembly machinist as I just won't be able to produce the quantity (or quality) that will be required.
My question is - "How do I pass on the assembly details for the seat elements?". What form do these take for a production environment, Diagrams, annotated drawings, written notes? - does anyone have experience of this.
Clearly no matter how experienced the machinist is, they will need to know sewing order, special processes (e.g facingtapes, listing attachments, top sewing etc). Does anyone have experience of this?
I have the construction of these seats pretty well memorised now - I have ripped down dozens of them to see how they are made :).Can anyone offer any help here?

I’ve never done it, but I often think pictures along with words are much better than those individually. I would snap photos of of the covers in the seats and literally document your work backwards. If there needs to be something in an exact measurement. I’d take a pic with a tape measure showing. (Like a listing in a specific location) a picture is worth a thousand words. Plus it’s still your reputation on the line. The better they can make them, the better it is for you
