Listing tape

Hey guys,
Are there any alternatives to listing tape? I have finished sewing my cover for my seat cushion and now it is time to think about the hog rings and J-hooks.
I do not have any listing tape on hand and would have to order. I know it is about an inch and a half and a very fibrous type material.

You can use any canvas or woven material. Cut it double the width you need. Fold it in half and sew it up with welt cord in side.

Haha yeah I'm the same way but sometimes you just have to because because you run out of room to store it.

I used canvas (I have a serger so I sewed the edge because fraying is one of my pet peeves). I used edge wire to catch the hog rings. My thinking was more even pull in holding my pleats is place.

That's very neat, tidy and sturdy.
