Hi everyone,
My name is Dave and I live in Warwickshire (UK). I have been working on making various elements of my vehicle's car seats for several years now. I had to do this because I was not able to purchase the components I required to refurbish my seats.
I should say that I own a Peugeot 205 GTi (1.6L) and trim parts are very difficult (if not impossible) to obtain.
I am looking to build up my personal skill set in terms of sewing and upholstery and am so happy to have found this forum. Why ?- well because here in the UK trimmers are a very secretive bunch and do not like offering any advice or assistance to anyone.
So my progress has been limited over the years. This forum run by @John is excellent and once I work my way through the apprentice videos , I hope to be able to contribute to this forum.
regards
Dave

Thanks for that @John , to be honest my GTi seats are a mess. I started my business 8 years ago now, and have spent time manufacturing seat foams (front seats) and also the seat cover fabrics - again for the reason that Peugeot have stopped making them. I am now turning my attention to making replacement seats for this great little car, and having patternised pretty well everything made of fabric inside the car., I can't start production of the replacement covers until the patterns are proven, I will then digitise them and then production batches will be cut on an NC cutting table (Gerber). Iam pushing 70 years old now and absolutely luv my new "career"
best wishes
Dave
