What do you use? I got regular set with machine. I also ordered "edge tracking" set to do decorative seams.
While watchign Cechaflo videos I see him using some foot that looks like "half" of the foot. What it is? And in general, what do you find useful/needed and why?
Thanks!

I’m cechaflo video I think the footy you’re speaking of it one he modified. Just cut or ground it down half way so he could see the needle placement better. For me I just use a regular walking foot most of the time. Every so often I’ll use a zipper foot if I want to get close to a seam and not have part of the foot blocking my eyesight.

I see.. So, maybe ordering cheapest one from eBay and grinding myself is in order. There is no rocket science to it, right? I'd like to see where needle goes too.

Good question!
Yeah he made that foot by grinding it down. I have seen people do this. I don't understand the need for it. I am able to sew everything just find with out removing half my foot. If you decide to try it just be very careful because its really easy to break your needle when you grind the foot that far down. The hole in the food helps keep the needle straight when your moving your fabric around. With out it its very easy to accidentally move the needle enough make it miss the hole in the feed dog and break. Its loud and scary and can damage your machine or throw the timing off. Ive had it happen before

I think visibility is the main thing. I see what you mean by no needle "guard".
See this picture, this is on sale on eBay. Chechaflo had it cut like red line shows I think. What if I cut it like green line shows. Protection and visibility. Maybe less visibility, but should work?

Yes cutting at the green line would make protect the needle and I suggest doing that. I just dint see the need for doing it though. Ive never had a problem with sewing with regular feet.

I cut down a foot like that, it helped mr a lot when make precise stitches, like landing in a specific hole. Also made it much easier to see the stay stitch when seeing leather to headliner backing. If you can afford the extra foot, why not at least try it? Folks grind down zipper feet to get closer....

I cut up foot to get it more to my liking and because I do a lot of black on black I gave it a contrasting color. Works for me
