Hey guys, what cheap materials do you buy for different general uses? What I'm looking for specifically is a cheap material to be used as a dust cover for things like my machine, computer, tools that aren't used often, etc. my shop does body work also which produces a lot of dust and sometimes primer overspray if it isn't primed in the booth ideas?
I'd also like to hear of cheap stuff you might use for other purposes that aren't really high wear areas like curtains for a door or to cover a book shelf.
Thanks

I guess for things like covers and such that aren’t customer jobs. I just use leftovers that are already paid for. Maybe it’s to small for a job or a crazy color you know you’ll never use again. Can’t get cheaper than that lol.

Go to Walmart and get clear vinyl . They have about 5 different weights and the price is pretty cheap depending on what weight you get. I got some of the heavier and it was 2.75 a yard . Same a upholstery 54 inch's wide

I bought some 2nd's from Rochford supply. It's marine grade boat cover material, I plan on making boat covers for customers boats, just to keep stuff off from them while they're here. It was cheap, but decent quality.

Black Vinyl. I use black vinyl for all kinds of things. You can usually get it really cheep. $5 a yard or less. I usually buy full rolls when it goes on sale just to have around.
