I use a singer machine model241-13. Anytime I use a thick thread to sew its either
there is a breakages of seam or it's not able to ran smoothly. what might be the cause please?

I’m not familiar with your machine but a quick search and it looks like it’s an old home machine? If so you may be limited to thread size 69 max, along with that the larger thread needs a larger needle.

@ Hope Komla, are you able to post pictures of your foot and needle? Please let us know what thread you are using and weight as well. I am sure this can be figured out for you.

@Hope Komla How thick of thread are you trying to sew? I would think you could size 92 with this machine. Like Revv Up said make sure you have the correct size needle. Also make sure you your machine is timed properly and you thread tension is set correctly. Here is a manual for your Singer 241.

This machine was not built to sew with really thick thread but people have modified them to accept larger needles. This guy has a video on modifying your machine to accept a size 22 needle. I would only suggest doing this if you cant get by with 92 thread and size 18 needle.
