@cale Can you post a picture of the specific problem your having. Ill look at it and see if I can give you some pointers. Post it in a new topic so it will be searchable for the future.

I was going to paint the trim panels but now I'm thinking that I might just cover them.

@John
I know that I am going to need to cover this in three (3) pieces. My question is should I do 3 individual pieces and glue them on so that look like they are sewn together or should I actually sew them together and then glue them on?

You will want to sew all the pieces together and then install the cover.
Thats goiung to be a fun project for you to learn on

Not get discouraged if it takes a few tries.
Also sometimes you need to shave down the edges of the plastic to allow for the thickness of the vinyl.

Sew, I am beginning to learn how to do other projects than just seats, dash' s and door panels. I have began working with leather and wrapping it. After several attempts, I got this adequate console lid complete. It is not what I started out to do, but, it is a practice piece. As usual, my learning curve is steep because I seem to be void of understanding.
I know the mistakes that I made and have corrected them for the "real" panel that I will be covering. I had an issue with my center pattern and when I sewed the pieces together I got distracted and went too far into the seam allowance allowing the basting tape to show through. Plus, that learning curve of how leather stretches and turns vs vinyl. Whew!!! Big difference.

Keep at it @Cale you get it perfect soon. Leather shouldn't sew much differently than vinyl. Just make sure to cut relief cuts on the turns.
