Talking about needles, I have just seen this YouTube video where the author talks about needles using an enormous one, and explains how to determine what size thread use with a specific size needle. Very graphic!

I was watching a sailrite video and the narrator said “hear that ticking noise, it means your needle is damaged and needs changing”) sure enough you could hear it.
