I was more thinking about cockroaches. I never had a problem but I heard a story about that makes me cringe when I think about booth work.

I find roaches in truck seats all the time and not the insct kind

Somewhat on this topic, does anyone know of a site that teaches how the different parts of a restaurant bench go together? I just finished re-upholstering 5 bench seats and one booth base for a local eatery and they want me to fix a section of the back. It’s separate from the major portion of the back but I’m not sure how it’s attached. Any help would be much appreciated.
BTW, I charged $100 ea for the booth seats (just bottoms, 48”) with piping around both end panels. They felt like it was a bit high but paid me for my work, and still want me to do more.

I dont know of any site that teach restaurant seating upholstery. There are many ways booth seats are constructed but usually the back is non removable. Usually it is wrapped with fabric and stapled to the frame. Then there are different trim pieces that cover the edges.

If you have any pictures I can try to help out a little more.

Don’t have pictures but it is one of the trim pieces that is separate from the back. It looks like it would pull off with a little force if you know what I mean.

@Pgnelson45 , Who knows what that peice is for. Looks like some carpentry is going to be needed.

Yeah usually the trim pieces are held on with automotive plastic panel clips or if it wrapped in woven fabric i have see people attach them by shooting finishing nails straight through the fabric.
