We have a Juki LG-158 -1 machine, single needle. New to us, and we are new to industrial sewing machines.

It came with a #25 needle and we purchased smaller sizes all DDX1 system. All the 23 to 19 size DDX1's have a much smaller shank size.

How do we get the smaller needles to fit in the needle bar? They seem very loose, even after we have tightened the set screw.

Would appreciate any help and advice.

There are umpteen different machine needles. I suspect someone sold you the wrong needles for the machine.

Yeah its probably the wrong needle. Here is a good site that can help you find the correct needle for your juki.
