In making a new mooring cover for my boat, I am wondering if there are any secrets/tips to making my own binding?

The material is Sunbrella and I am using 1" webbing around the perimeter. The binding will go all around the perimeter of the cover (about 53 ft of binding)

I think I answered my own question, after a bit more research . . . there are binding forming tools

I am trying to find one that is about 1.5" (37mm)

@TedP Sunbrella sells binding by the yard already made in every color of fabric. I highly suggest that because it will save you a ton of time.
It comes in 3/4" and 1". Here is an example https://amzn.to/2XSiupz

Thanks @John . My challenge is that it looks like the binding tape on my mooring cover is 1.5", which seems to be an odd size. I have the 1" forming tool and tried some 1" tape, but it seems to be a bit shy of what would be best for the edging.

Actually, I made a mockup of the edge materials . . . (sunbrella, webbing, binding tape) . . . and it looks like the 1" tape will be OK. :ok_hand:
