Hi all, I’m new to the forum and to upholstery actually as I am trying to teach myself the trade. One of my machines is a Consew 206rb-5 which I recently tuned and timed using the manual and also the online tutorial on YouTube. All things work as expected. Stitches are good etc. however it is not smooth as one would expect. I would say that around (I’m guessing) 1000 stitches a minute it starts to shake and vibrate. Enough to be troublesome. I’m going to retrace my steps however I wanted to see if anyone here had a shortcut to what to look for. This vibration was not present before the timing. I appreciate your suggestions and thanks in advance.

I apologize I'm not an expert at machine repair. Sounds to me like some how the timing is still off. I would retrace your steps and make sure everything is correct.

You might consider taking it in to get serviced at a repair shop. This is what I normally do.

Definitely was/is a timing issue. I went through the manual twice again this weekend and found some things that I had adjusted wrong. Good lessons to learn I guess. Still shakes at higher speeds however not as bad. I would love to drop it off at a service center however the closest one to me that I trust is a 4 hour drive. Now I’m working on some thread tension issues. Thanks for the response and the video courses.
