I got this jeep artist project. I went for vinyl because no yards of leather here.

I started the project hoping to finish in two days but I'm no where near.

My challenges have been compounded by resulting small small stitches.

Now on the vinyl,I decided to pad the back with a quarter screen foam. Using a Rex 607 sewing machine. sadly I'm struggling to sew free. I don't know if its the machine or what thread.

Any help will be appreciated.

I don't understand why your Rex 607 is not adjusting it's stitch length. I have a Rex 607 and it does just fine?

Thank you all for the advise.

I tried padding the under of the foam with a scrub fabric and it works great.

My worry is,the customer left with the car but I took some measurements. I want to know if there are universal patterns for this sort of work. The car is Jeep artist.

Then how long should this project take to complete since this is my first real work.

@ John,I think I have challenge uploading images. will work on it.

But the vinyl I bought for the project is not moving smoothly under my Rex 607 machine when i turn the front to sew on top.

Am I doing the right thing?

How many layers of vinyl are you sewing when you have this problem?

Around 8 hours per seat is a rough estimate.
